PJ Party weekend

During World Thinking Day weekend almost 1100 Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers and leaders across Essex South East took part in the Anglia region Pyjama party event.  Carole, our county commissioner, challenged herself to visit everyone of the 15 events within the county and she made it!  As a result we have photos from all of them.  Two are shown here and you can see the others on our Facebook page.

Carole describes how she met her self imposed challenge:

Well, having challenged myself to visit all 15 PJ Party events taking place across the county, with the amazing support of my husband Pete, we managed to do it. We were out for 14 hours, we set off at 8.30am and eventually got home at 10.15pm, and travelled 92 miles but we visited all 15 events. They were all amazing and the girls were having a fabulous time. That would not have happened if all you wonderful leaders had not organised them and put in so much work. For that an extra special thank you from me to you!!! At every venue we visited we had a picture taken and each group had their own number, more so that I didn’t get the groups muddled up when I got home!! I was  lucky enough to be with Leigh East District at the time Anglia region led the renewal of promise online. I realised much later how lucky we had been as many of you were unable to get logged in to the link. However this did not stop you from renewing your promise. Well done all of you.
