During the last month, I have had a busy time attending the Southend Scout and Guide Gang show, Thinking Day Breakfast, International Women’s Day, Renewal of Promise and visiting units.

Both Pete and myself were lucky enough to be invited to attend the Southend Scout and Guide gang Show, even if it was the wettest day I can remember for ages!!!  The whole cast and crew were absolutely amazing and my congratulations go out to all of you. What a way to actually celebrate Thinking Day. Well done!!

I had a great time joining Basildon division for their early morning (8am) breakfast where it was great catching up with old friends. Lovely seeing so many of you.

I joined Southend West for their division International Women’s Day and Renewal of Promise event at Crowstone church. It was fabulous seeing over 300 girls having such a great time and the balloons were fab!! Even if there were a few out of puff leaders after blowing them all up!! As always, these events would not take place without a lot of planning and support from all the leaders, so you all deserve a big pat on the back.

I visited 4^th Eastwood Guides, where Wendy Ingle was working with the girls on the Anglia Heraldry Badge. The girls had lot of fun playing bingo to see how much they had learnt and then also designing their own coat of arms. We also had the county standard on show and Wendy explained how this was made. Think the girls were very impressed with the fact it was all handmade.

My most recent visit was to 10^th Leigh Rangers where I chatted with some of the girls who are working on their Lead Away Permit. They are all super keen and very excited, so good luck to them all.

Finally, I have just returned from another weekend at Hautbois where we had a Region Exec. Committee weekend. Lots of discussion and decision making but a great weekend.
