Trefoil Guild Join BBC Essex Quest
On Sunday 6 November several members of Essex South East Trefoil Guild were invited to take part in the BBC Quest programme, which goes out live every Sunday morning, to advertise the work of the Trefoil Guild. This was because the producer had seen a display that had been on show at the Hadleigh Library during August and wanted to find out more about us. On a very wet morning Ann Hollington our County Chair, Margaret Wellsbury our County Treasurer and Margaret Butler our County PR and Chair of the Rayleigh Trefoil Guild stood waiting in the car park of the Rayleigh Methodist Church for the arrival of Barry Lewis and Liana Bridges who were the presenters of the programme. This popular programme on BBC Essex involves solving 4 clues to places around the County of Essex and the listeners to the programme have to phone in to help solve the clues to send Barry and Liana to their next location. After giving them the next clue and before they went on off to their next location Liana and Barry asked us questions and we were able to tell them what the Trefoil is all about, how it began and the activities that we do. After they had driven off, we were able to play back and listen the programme again through BBC Sounds so proving it to be a great PR opportunity.
