If you are looking for something different to do with your unit, then read on.

Promiseland is a 4-acre campsite located at the end of a quiet lane surrounded by fields in Downham. Ideal for the girls to have outdoor fun either at their usual meeting time or at a weekend.  Why not have a joint unit meeting with possibly a challenge theme?

Provided onsite are boxes of toys, many activities, a parachute and cook out facilities, with all the necessary utensils, billies etc. There are 2 purpose built altar fires, some wheels for fires, plus a large camp fire pit together with running water, electricity, and a serviced toilet. If you are feeling a bit more adventurous you could have a sleepover, or a few days’ camp. Maybe your unit has a special occasion e.g. unit birthday, to celebrate? Promiseland is ideal for this.

All hire charges go towards the running costs, including a contribution to an annual road maintenance fund, water/electric charges and toilet emptying as well as insurance on the building.

Single unit £5 per use

Joint units £10 per use

Overnight charge £5 booking fee plus £2.00 per girl per night. No charge for leaders

Multiple units or larger events £40
