Creekview Lodge

Creekview Lodge (Girlguiding South Woodham Ferrers HQ) is situated on the bank of Saltcoats Creek in South Woodham Ferrers and near to the River Crouch. Our new HQ is the perfect place for a quiet Guiding holiday, yet within easy reach of many attractions. We are a short walk from Creekview Road in a secure gated site with ample parking for leaders.

The building consists of 2 large halls; 1 smaller meeting room; a large bathroom with 4 toilets, wash basins and 2 showers; an accessible toilet/wet room, a men’s toilet and a well-equipped kitchen with an electric range cooker, microwave and large fridge freezer and a hatch through to the Ashwood Hall.

The number of young persons accommodated for an indoor residential would be 18 plus leaders, using the Oakwood Hall as sleeping accommodation, the Ashwood Hall as the activity and dining hall, and the Willow room as adult accommodation/first aid room.

Outside we have a large grass area which can accommodate several tents, a wood store and an outside water tap. There are 5 concrete bases for patrol cooking and a central campfire base. Suggested numbers for camping would be 18 girls plus leaders.

Just a short walk away is the town centre with an Asda supermarket, a swimming pool and sports centre, including a climbing wall. Marsh Farm Animal Adventure Park is approx. 20 mins walk and provides a day out with lots of activities available every day. There are also regular buses to Chelmsford, and Maldon (promenade park and water park), also it is a 15 min walk to the railway station where you can get regular trains to London, Southend and Burnham-on-Crouch.
